Short circuit mic lead
I have a Compaq Presario C300 laptop. I was testing an extension headset lead when I accidentally shorted the wire connected to the tip pin of the mini-jack to the wire connected to the centre - ring of the mini-jack. The mic input stopped working and has not worked since (even without the extension). I guess I may have blown an internal circuit. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to find a solution. --------- Thanks
