Hi guys!
I've started to have a really strange problem with all the audio on my laptop today, my sound quality hasn't been as great as it usually is the last few weeks with occasionally pops and crackles, but I've just been ignoring it. Today however the sound has started to completely cut out, iTunes keeps playing but the audio output stops, if I hit pause and then play again the audio returns...it's really strange! Sometimes only 1 side of my sound will cut out, then a few seconds later, the rest will go to, until I do the pause/unpause trick. My speakers are fine, I've tested them with my iPod and they worked perfect, and I plugged a friends speakers into my laptop and had the same problem. The problem also occurs when I simply use the laptops inbuilt speakers. I haven't made any changes to my laptop recently. I've tried updating and changing the drivers and had no sucess. The problem isn't just confined to iTunes either, it affects any program that outputs audio (movies etc.) I have an Acer Aspire 5720, running Vista SP1, using the latest Realtek High Definition Audio drivers. It's a real pain in the *** of a problem, I'd really appreciate any help, it's totally stumping me! Cheers! |
