hia, i have a problem. my microphone plays all sound through it ie. in game music gun noises etc. which basically renders it useless as people on the other side just hear loads of noise from my end. I use creative fatal1ty headset and have realtek HD running on my comp.
anyone got any ideas? just ask if you need more info. thanks. |

Re: all sound goes through my mic!
I just got new pair of headphones like 10 minutes ago and they are doing the exact same thing. I'm really anxious to get this fixed because its annoying.
I have two things one goes into Mic, and one into the sound but when I talk on Ventrilo its outputting everything my computer makes, I want just my voice. I need output of just the mic. |

Re: all sound goes through my mic!
I don't have much time right now, I will have more time later this evening.
There is something about Stereo Mix and/or Muting your mic (either in recording or input) that helps with this issue. Can't remember right now off the top of my head. I will find it later tonight, though. Pauldo |

Re: all sound goes through my mic!
amorbis696 fixed his problem. He describes how he did it in this thread here: http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/sound-cards/342059-headphones-mic.html
Turns out, atleast for amorbix696, that I had my facts backwards. Let us know if this helped or not. Pauldo |
