realtek alc660 in/out

I am running the realtek alc 660 driver and have read somewhere that all 6 analog channels can be set up as inputs or outputs. using the realtek hd audio manager you can chose, from a drop down menu, to use all channels as outputs(dolby 5.1) but i cannot find a way to change the default outputs to inputs. Does anyone knows if this can be done? If so how?

Re: realtek alc660 in/out

Have you plugged an input in to any of the ports? Can't remember if the alc 660 supports this but the jacks should be auto-sensing. Usually a window pop-up asking what you want to do. You can toggle that window on or off in the Reatlek software manager.

I didnt even think to try that. I havent had chance to try it out, but it does have auto sensing so that should solve my problem. Thanks so much for the information.
