sound card in conjunction with usb headset
Yo, in need of some assistance here if someone knows anything about this...
Problem: running music via Winamp or any media player thru my sound card (external speakers connected via jack) while simultaneously running gaming apps & Teamspeak (input/output) thru USB Tritton headset ![]() Sys specs: Vista x64, Asus M3N HD/HDMI mobo, AMD Phenom 9950 quad black ed, 2 x EVGA 8800GTS video, Creative SB XFi Xtreme Gamer sound card, 4GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 memory ![]() Known: -no software for USB headset, Windows recognizes as separate sound device -no apparent settings in Winamp or Windows Media Player to force output to sound card device -seems to be all or nothing, i.e., 'set as default' on speaker device in sound settings will let me hear music, games, etc., while hearing/talking Teamspeak but cannot separate music/force Win apps and sounds to headset -willing to try other players if they provide this [specualted] force option, but unaware of any I'm sure someone else out there has been faced with this, but past hour or so not locating any posts with detailed specifics. You help is appreciated. Thx, SLooP
