I reformatted my computer now there is not sound!
Hey guys i recently reformatted my computer because of trojans and all that and then i start up my computer and all the drivers are working and everything is fine apart from the sound.
I have tried all sorts of different things and yes the speakers are plugged in... To make this siloution easier for you, some of the stuff i have tried are... reinstalling the driver which i cannot do because it comes up with a error message and also my multimedia audio driver has a yellow triangle with ! in it. I also have all the service packs that are out i am not that computer literate and i have ran out of stuff to try and this is really frustrating me so please help me thanks

Have you looked on the PB support site for sound card drivers? . . Have you done a Windows Update yet?

yes i ahve done al the windows updates and yes i have had a look on the pb site for some sound drivers but i am not sure what one to get as there is a very long list and when i type in my S/N it says it is invalid.

You will have to come up with the right serial number . . then the list of drivers will be dmall

If all else fails you can open the case and get the model # off the sound card, or the mobo if the sound is integrated. You could also call the company that you bought the computer from to verify the S/N. This could be useful for future troubleshooting.
