Ideazon mic won't work

Hi.
This Christmas, my aunt gave me an Ideazon GH-100 mic. I was so glad that I plugged it into my computer right away. When I tried to get it to work(I used Steam's test mic program), I heard a sound so bizzare and loud that I had to stop the test instantly. I say a word, and it makes a fuzzy sound; for instance, if I said "Hi", I'd hear a slight faint of my word, then it gets louder and louder, so it's unrecognizable what I said(As if the faint was as recognized as when it gets worse). Spec details is a AMD amthlon 3800+ with Nvidia 6510 nforce 430 chipset installed, Windows XP Pro SP3, and my sound card was made for Vista, but since I downgraded it doesn't work. I use a Realtek HD audio codec(It's the same codec my Vista used anyway). Help is appreciated.

EDIT:Before I end the post, another problem. Ever since I "upgraded" from Vista to XP, no recorder such as Fraps will record sound.
