Angry Volume not working!

I'll try to explain this as best as I can:

I deleted a whole bunch of programs and files the other day to clear somespcae up on my pc. I'm pretty sure I didn't delete anything media/sound related, yet out of nowhere my volume decided to stop working. I have no idea if i accidentally deleted something audio related, but i've been sifting through forums and other tech support and its not getting me anywhere; if anything, im losing my ******* mind!

According to the other forums i've been reading, I've done everything there is to do, yet there simply isn't any sound coming out of my damn speakers! Any suggestions?!?

-Thanks in advance for any info

Re: Volume not working!

It would help to know what you have done.

Check Volume control?
Check Device Manager?
Is you sound card the default audio device?

Stuff like that. A lot of times in this situation it just takes a re-install of audio drivers. Not sure if you have done this already as you haven't stated what you have done.

Re: Volume not working!

Oh yeah, and could you post your system specs? Make/model # or motherboard and other components if it is a custom build.

Thanks

Re: Volume not working!

I take it that you already tried codecs, correct?
