Problem with Creative Audigy 2ZS
Recently I reformatted my computer with a stored image I had made. I have done this before with no problems, but the problem I have now is that every time I restart the computer the sound card defaults to headphones, instead of the 4.1 speaker setup option that I use. I am not sure why this is happening, but if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Re: Problem with Creative Audigy 2ZS
If you install these codecs, then during the installation, a configuration screen will popup asking you which speaker setup you want. It "might" overrule the previous settings, maybe.

Re: Problem with Creative Audigy 2ZS
Thanks, but I dont want to install that codec pack. This might work for when I am playing videos in a player, but I want the default creative codecs to work properly. Any other suggestions? Like why on reboot each time it keeps defaulting to headphones and not sticking to 4.1
... Ok I might have fixed the problem. I went to restore default settings and restarted the computer, it seems to hack stuck this time on 4.1. We'll see if it lasts. Last edited by mces97; 01-26-2009 at 03:14 PM. |
