Sound just wont work...
I recently installed Windows XP Sp3 and my drivers just wont install.. i tried No sound on reinstallation, XP SP3 fix that, it still wont work in the device manager under sounds video and game controllers it says ATI HDMI Audio with a yellow (!) becide it and it says "The device cannot start" i have all my drivers and they just dont work anymore...
this is really getting annoying and useless i'd really appreciate some help thanks ![]() i have a Realtek HD Last edited by Zeating; 01-25-2009 at 12:15 PM. |

First, I hope you are still looking here and sorry for your headaches.
Have you tried starting over from scratch? Completely removing and uninstalling your Realtek as well as your ATI HDMI Audio (which, by the way, is from your graphics card)? There are different flavors of the Microsoft UAA Patch. The ones linked to in that article don't match the ones in this article: http://geekswithblogs.net/lorint/archive/2006/06/11/81540.aspx Maybe try the XP SP2 link on that page and see what happens.
