Annoying voice echo
I actually have 2 echo related issues and I have gone through all kinds of lengths to get rid of them. This is through my Koss SB49 Headset.
-The 1st issue is that I hear my own voice echo when I talk to a friend on Xfire. -The 2nd issue is that I can hear other people's voices echo when they use the teamspeak in the Call of Duty World at War game. Of course I tried tweaking my settings 1st. Secondly I went to the trouble of removing my Creative Sound Blaster Audigy card and reverting back to the Realtek ALC885 onboard sound. I still had the identical problem. I updated the drivers, still same problem. Thirdly I reformatted my computer thinking that perhaps some sound drivers might have been messed up. Unfortunately this did not fix the problem. Physically my headphones are plugged into the Pink (Mic) and Green (Headphones) back panel outlets. It appears that there are no contradictions with inputs and outputs. The person that I talk to on Xfire has no trouble hearing me when I enabled microphone boost. Under the normal volume tab I have muted the mic volume even though the slider is all the way to the top. Just yesterday I did the same to the line volume. (Muted, and slider to the top) Under the Realtek HD Audio Manager I have clicked Noise Suppression and Acousitic Echo Cancellation. Any clue at what could be causing this issue? |

Re: Annoying voice echo
Just a little update on my end. I believe both of my problems stem from the same issue. Today I was Xfired by my friend while he was in a game, and I could hear his game loud and clear. I believe everything is bouncing back to me from his headphones.
Does anyone know from experience whether something like this would be from my end which is receiving the echos or his end which might be sending every thing back to me? |
