Hi, I recently started having problems with my sound.

I can hear MSN sounds and system sounds, but when I go into the system sound settings (to adjust volume etc) it says theres no mixers available - but still I can hear MSN nudging etc.

And I can fix the sound in winamp, by going into options and selecting the right soundcard.

But in everything else, no sound ... Also tried formatting my system and reinstalling windows, but no help there (only formatted my c: drive, not my other ones - i have windows etc on c)

Im using ASUS P5N-e SLI onboard sound =)

I can't analyze any logfiles but I can tell you that situations like this usually crop up because Microsoft's UAA drivers have become corrupted and those drivers need to be installed first before any Realtek drivers (well, Realtek in your case).

It is odd that a reformat didn't help. What order did you re-install and did you get updated drivers from Asus?
