Hi guys, i have the Creative Audigy, Model: 2B0160 Serial No: M1SB0162408002487H and it also says.. CA0100-IDF 2CA90YW
I used it on my old computer and want to use it on a new one i am building.. I plan to run Windows Vista 32bit upgrading to 64bit, i wanted to get help on a updated driver and for future drivers. My other question is i have the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836121120 And i want to know if it will run smoothly with no problems.. Like if the card is at least decent enough to or if it will run fine.. For gaming, music, videos, etc.. Please and thanks. |

Re: My Current sound card, Need driver Help and other answers please.
The Audigy series of cards from Creative have both 32bit and 64bit drivers available.
With those z-5500's you are really under powering them with that Audigy card. Sure you will get sound out of them but those speakers were really meant for higher end sound cards Plus you will be stuck with EAX 2.0 support. And under Vista you will need the Alchemy software, provided by Creative, to get EAX and 3D audio for some games. Keep in mind that audio is done completely different in Vista. EAX for games will no longer be important (or needed) as OpenAL will be favored in the future. Hope that helps. Pauldo |
