PLZ HELP! no sound!

I just installed Win XP home and lost my audio driver in the process. I am running a dell 2350 and have installed all other drivers. When i downloaded the right audio driver from dell and attempted to install it says i must open not save this file. but it only says SAVE or Cancel. Not like all the other drivers that give me the option to OPEN. I went to save any ways and when i go to run setup it gives me an error...error installing iKernel.exe0x10000).
Someone plz help. i have tried to update driver from device manager but it cannot find it.

Re: PLZ HELP! no sound!

Hi,
Is this the driver you attempted to download:
http://support.dell.com/support/down...3&fileid=67126
It should allow you to save it to your desktop and run the EXE. file
What SP do you have installed?
I do not recommend SP3 until all the drivers are installed (Under SP2) and working correctly.
