speaker audio prob with realtek/X-Fi

im only getting 2 out of 5 speakers working!

so ive set up my speaker config in the windows control panel for 5.1 and in the realtek control panel for 5.1 and tested the speaker setup and they all work but when i play music in itunes or watch a film only the front 2 speakers work and the same when i play battlefield 2142. There isnt an option battlefield to select 2.1 or 5.1 etc only audio quality. But when i play dead space i can select 5.1 speaker setup (in game) and all 5 speakers work. Im using a Asus P5N32-SLI Se Deluxe, realtek driver 6.0.1.6293, vista 64bit

i used to use my X-Fi but i had to reformate my PC and ever since i get really bad static and couldnt get rid of it no matter what drivers i used or what setup/mode it ran in, found out it was a prob with nvidia chip set and vista 64 with 4GB ram

Ohh and i have disabled X-fi to use realtek
