I have run the list suggested before posting this, long story short - after experiencing some hard drive issues (power supply replacement too) my audio doesn't work and my ROM drive, while being acknowledged in BIOS and boot screen (black startup screen) isn't recognized in "my computer" but that's another thread
so there is no sound although by all accounts, it works properly, etc...please advice, thanks in advance!

as of today I have updated the drivers for all components through the MSI website, still no sound - it's go to be working because everything shows it's going fine, but I have no output, I have installed on a new PCI slot as well...please help, thanks.

rying to upload the attachment report of everest is failing for some reason...?

SOLVED - a setting in the hardware profile for some reason flipped back...I was goofing around and bingo!
