Sound Card is not working
Dear Sir,
My Computer Description is as follows: 1) Mother board : MSI 7142, with built in Sound and AGP Card 2) Processor : AMD Sempron 2500+ 3) 512 MB DDR etc. Due to some unavoidable circumstances the Speaker Slot of the Built in Sound card has been damaged and I cannot use the slot for my woofer system. I have installed a Crystal SoundFusion PCI Sound card. The problem I am facing now is that after detecting the Sound Card my computer has installed the Crystal SoundFusion Driver from the Driver CD provided by the Sound Card. but after rebooting the PC a Blue screen appears with a message to Disable the Cache & Shadowing memory in the Bios. Here the main problem arises. after entering the Bios I cannot find the place mentioned by my PC. Please advise how to Solve the problem and get the new Sound Card working properly. Thanking you & awaiting for your reply in anticipation. With Regards, UDIT RANJAN GUPTA Last edited by BCCOMP; 11-25-2008 at 12:06 AM. |

Re: Sound Card is not working
Lo!
Unistall the new soundcard, reboot.Uninstall the drivers for the onboard sound, reboot. Re-install the new soundcard and see if that solves the problem. If this doesn't resolve the issue you'll have to re-install your onboard sound and disable it in device maneger and then re-install the new soundcard. |

Re: Sound Card is not working
Hi,
Do as Nemesis 1 states with this one exception. When you uninstall the ON-Board Sound card drivers, you reboot the PC, you should ENTER the BIOS and disable your ON-Board Sound. There should be an option in the BIOS for this. Then reinstall the new sound card and drivers. Bill |

Re: Sound Card is not working
Hi Nemesis1,
No problem, it is easy to forget. Especially when you purchase a new sound card as the directions very seldom tell you to disable On-Board sound in the BIOS (if it applies), as in this case. Bill |
