Front Panel Mic and Headphone Jacks not working
Hi, im having a problem, when i got the computer brand new the front panel jacks worked okay. Since then I have installed 4Gb 1066 RAM, a 1TB Harddrive and a Creative Fatal1ty soundcard.
Note: My front panel devices stopped working *before* i installed the new soundcard The onboard soundcard is a Realtek High Definition driver and they are currently disabled (but i tried re-enabling them but that made no difference) In my "Sounds" under the recording tab it definitly shows a Front Panel Microphone listed, but whenever i connect my headset to it, it never shows as connected, so I think it's a driver problem. Also, i have a line-in on the back of my new sound card. My guitar runs fine through it but any microphone doesn't, shows as connected but no signal. Any Advice please? System Specs: CPU: AMD Phenom 9850 2.5Ghz x4 Mobo: MSI K9A2 CF Graphics: Ati Radeon 3870 RAM: 4Ghz 1066 Sound: Soundblaster Fatalit1y HDD's: 1x500Gb + 1x1Tb OS: Vista Ultimate SP1 x64 Edit: forgot to mention i also have a microsoft LifeCam vx2000 installed too Last edited by Idoliside; 10-07-2008 at 08:23 AM. |
