OS: windows xp sp2


sound in one speaker only

i have an internal sound card (i think) and i can only hear sound from one side.. i have tried different speakers.. and if i turn the volume up i get a weird sound in the speaker thats not working.. the left one.. so what can i do about it.. do i need a new sound card..

go to control panel > Sounds and audio devices > under Speaker Settings click on Speaker Volume > make sure each slide is the same.

Also, try a pair of headphones .

hey.. i think something is wrong with the board.. i've tried everything else in control panel.. and headphones act in the same way.. can i install a new soundcard in this system.

If it's integrated sound then you are also going to have a separate control panel for that as well.

What is your make and model of your computer?
