No Good Title =/
Okay...i use Sigmatel Audio. I am wondering how i can configure it so that i can record what happens on my computer (sound wise) in audacity. I have tried everything in audacity to make it work. I have messed with Sigmatel audio level settings, but to no avail. What do i do?

Re: No Good Title =/
Well, i thought i replied to this XD.
It isn't anything wrong with my control panel mixer. Now, this is the same with most sigmatel laptops. Even with my dads. So, i am wondering if it IS possible to get more lines (so i can record what my computer hears). |

Re: No Good Title =/
I'm unclear as to what 'get more lines' means. Does that mean that you do have a choice of inputs in Audacity and none are for your sound device? What are your choices, if any?
There keeps coming up posts that talk about needing the use of stereo mixing to use Audacity. They also talk about how older sigmatel drivers have this disabled. Might be worthwhile to check out if there are newer drivers, even if this is a new computer. For instance, Dell seems to like shipping their new laptops with year old drivers. Hope that helps. Re: No Good Title =/
Okay, think like this. Lines are sorta like inputs (some are) and others are simply things like wave out. I am actually needing wave out. I am on another computer with audacity and this one has wave out mix as the one that records what the computer hears (ex. if i were playing online radio it would record that)

Re: No Good Title =/
Well, I do keep asking you what you have for 'lines' (I kept calling them inputs) but you have yet to answer so it is kind of hard to know what is going on.
I have Audacity running on my machine and it took awhile to get it to record when I first set it up. The stuff that I have mentioned before was from trying to get mine to work. Hopefully someone else can offer up some advice that might help. It might help to post what computer this is on or if it is a custom build what components you have. Pauldo |
