Conexant AC-Link Audio

Hello,
I have a HP Pavilion dv8000 Laptop that has a conexant AC-Link Audio soundcard. About a week ago the sound abruptly stopped working so of course I hurried over to this forum. I ran through the sticky and found that going to the driver website and running the update/repair program fixed it. I had to run it at least once a day to get it to work. Now it will not recover at all.

Please help

I still have to update the driver daily to get my sound to work.

Anyone have any ideas?
