sound help

hi all. my pc as a Gygabyte GA-8I945PMF motherbord i have installed the Realtek audio driver the sound is working ok but every few mins the audio control panel keeps pop up asking what equipment i have connected when i have plug nothing in. i am useing the two speakers the are in my monitor. do any know if its possable to install the sound driver only without the audio manager software . thanks

Doesn't your monitor have a connection for the sound? One that is designed to connect to your speaker connection on the motherbaord.

One of the guys at work has an LCD monitor, with built-in speakers, and there is a standard speaker wire from the monitor that connects to the speaker-out on his sound card.

yes my monitor speakers are plug in to the pc. but the audio manager software keeps poping up asking what speakers i have connected.
