installing a new card
after having alot of trouble with my Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS Gamer, i've bought an HT Omega Claro+ to replace it. the creative card was doing a poor job running my midi, doesn't support the level of recording i want, and lately has just made my speakers crackle horribly. tested some stuff out and all signs pointed towards it just being the sound card, and i couldn't find any way to fix it (even asked on here and got pretty much no response...). anyway, so i want to install my HT Omega, and i know how to open the case and install a PCI card, i just don't know what all i might have to do to uninstall the creative card. it says in the instructions i may have to uninstall the card in the BIOS as well. just... basically need to know what all i have to do to get my new card in there and working beautifully and the old card completely uninstalled and gone for good.

Re: installing a new card
Make sure that any onboard sound is disabled (in the bios), you'll need to uninstall the creative drivers (reboot) and then install the new soundcard and its drivers.
