I havent had any sound on my xp laptop for the past three months. please help
About 3 months ago, I downloaded Spybot. I notcied that I would only hear beeps, ( after the installaton was complete, and still do) so I uninstalled it, thinking my regular volume would come back, but it didn't. I hear the beeps whenever something needs my attention. For example, when I cannot close an active application, such the internet because it has froze, or is not responding, the notification that tells you, will beep. I'm not too sure if that makes any sense, but if you understand what I'm talking about, please help me.
info on comp... Compaq PresarioV2000 Windows XP... thats all I know

Please download and install PC Wizard from my sig. Run it and go to FILE, SAVE AS and click ok. Then copy the text out of that file into this thread.
