Running TWO sound systems?

I have a 5.1 gaming headset that i use often and is connected to my onboard realtech soundcard....... (ever since i added a tv tuner card i think cards in my other slots werent being detected.... so i had to switch to onboard sound maybe any suggestions with that?) and, i recently bought the Logitech X-540 speaker system and find it a pain to keep unplugging all 4 jacks for both of them whenever i choose not to use one.

Any suggestions on getting the pci sound card to work at the same time as the onboard? (its a creative audigy se) Or any alternatives that will let me switch them easier.. or anything?

*btw i have Vista hpx64.....

Thanks in advance, John

Re: Running TWO sound systems?

I've got the same sound card as you and the same OS too. I want the same thing to play music with my audigy se and use my headphones with my onboard or the other way round
I'm gonna try to do some research for us.

so what i can tell for now is that you need to buy an audio splitter
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812123002
at least its only $10

Re: Running TWO sound systems?

thats good, i think that only splits one point audio systems though, for us we have 5.1 systems so we have to worry about front, rear sides, and subwoofer to split..
