Faint Static Noise From Speakers

After I cloned my hard drive I have noticed a faint static noise coming from my speakers. I notice that it happens whenever I click on a website and it loads the page. Also, if I download something it seems to happen during the download. I have a Creative SB Audigy 4 Soundcard. The card should be this card.

Re: Faint Static Noise From Speakers

Sorry, I can't help. But you're not alone.

I've noticed the same kind of noise on my computer, I think.

Whenever I scroll down in a window I hear a VERY low buzzing sound.
And it happens alot when playing games. In games that have quiet areas with not much game-sound, I hear what sounds like an old modem trying to start, or a motor. The sound is very low though, but just high enough to make it very annoying in the long run.

The sound can not be heard while just sitting in windows though.

I'm using Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4, Realtek ALC889A onboard soundcard, with driver version 5.10.0.5485.

Re: Faint Static Noise From Speakers

It's definitely frustrating. The only thing that has really changed (besides me moving) is that I am connecting to the internet through a wireless adapter. Is it possible that when I surf the web or download something that the wireless signal requires a boost in strength. Could this boost be picked up by the speakers and thus produce the static noise?

I've heard before that On-Board audio has a faint static noise, do you have it when using a sound card (not on-board)?

I am using a sound card. In my first post I link to the exact card.
