No +20dB boost on XP
I have switched from Windows Vista which allowed me to do the +20dB so I could be able to use my microphone. Now im on XP and I know where your supposed to be able to do the +20dB boost under the advanced options for the micophone in the recording volume levels, but the only option I have in there is "Do not monitor". I have all my latest sound and video drivers so why isn't there a boost option? I have a Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit.
