My speakers keep going 'pop, pop' when I'm trying to listen to something or even when they are just turned on. I'm pretty sure it's my notebook speakers because when I unplug my logitech speakers my notebook speakers go pop. This has been happening for about a week or so. I use both I.E. and F.F. I have a Lenovo 3000 N100 and have already tried their support forum but they're not very helpful.
I downloaded everst: http://i31.tinypic.com/2q1vvba.jpg and http://i31.tinypic.com/dggcbm.jpg I found this on a google search: http://forum.notebookreview.com/arch.../t-200561.html "I think I solved the problem!!! There was a new SOUNDMAX driver listed on the Lenovo site from 6/2007. The driver installed was from 3/2007 and was older. Installed new driver and restarted and now the popping noise is gone!!" And then I searched the Lenovo site and found this: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...IGR-63554.html Am I somehow supposed to install new drivers? Will that make the popping sound go away? |

Re: Popping Speakers
Hi,
That link you have there aren't the audio drivers. This is it http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-66525 There's download and installation instructions. I don't know if this will fix your problem, but it's the start. Hope this helps... |
