When ever i watch Videos or listen to music..from my files or on websites such as Youtube,Dailymotion,veoh.. or any other site my sound randomly shuts off and only comes back on once i close everything or if i log/restart my computer..I got Windoes Xp Home Edition

They may be... automatically "adjusting" your sound. If you explore each messenger's settings, you may find something in the sound section that says auto adjust or something similar. Disable those settings and see if the problem percists.
The thing is that sometimes the programs don't work quite the way they were designed to. All sound cards are different, and there is often an oddball chip that has a different channel missmatch of such that would result in muting of sound for one reason or another. Is the sound being muted, or is the sound just stopping? Does your keyboard have a mute button? The keyboard could be dirty or defective causing a random mute... If all else fails, you could always just buy a replacement sound card. $20-$30 |
