Red Faced Sb Audigy / Network Connections

please understand i'm a newbie first off

Bought a computer that someone built. I put a fresh install of xp pro on it, installed drivers and was able to get online no problems, i have another computer and i looked at the network connection and it has a local area connection along with a 1394 connection, the one with new install only has the local area connection. ? did i do something wrong, do i need to fix that if so how do i got about doing it or should i just let it be ?

After new install the sound is working, i still wanted to install the sound drives, i have creative sb audugy not sure what version, but i tried them all, so i think on the creative website and non seem to work. Also under device manger my MEDIA CONTROLLER IS SHOW ? AND ! IN YELLOW, does this have something to do with the sound drivers if so how do i solve this problem.

Pleae remember i'm a newbie and still learning, please explain in kid terms terms if someone can help.thanx

Re: Sb Audigy / Network Connections

Nothing wrong, just different hardware configurations.

The 1394 is actually a LAN Interface. It acts as an interface between your PC and the actual LAN Card because the card does not have an interface.

Your other PC just does not use this method for LAN. The on-board LAN includes the interface.
