Soundblaster live 5.1 but no sound, what's WRONG?
I am running Windows XP pro on a Shuttle AN35N motherboard. The mobo has onboard sound but and even with the mobo driver installations along with the audio drivers that doesn't work.
I tried a generic pci audio card i got on ebay, installed those drivers it doesn't work. I recently got a soundblaster live 5.1 that i got really cheap from the creative sale about a week ago. I installed the drivers and I still get no sound. I have no idea what is going on. I selected the SB live audio drivers in control panel over the mobo to make sure, but still no luck. Could it be an IRQ problem? If so how could i fix this? What else might i try doing? Thanks everyone |

Re: Soundblaster live 5.1 but no sound, what's WRONG?
Hi
![]() Are you sure the speakers are OK? Try headphones. Make sure the sound hasn't been muted in Windows' mixer and that the SB live is the default playback device. See if there's a better driver with Creative's AutoUpdate. Also - have a look at this: Sound problems? Try these things first. |
