no sound device ?
i have a compaq presario 2580us and everything has been working fine except two things.
1. it says i have no sound device. meaning that there is no sound device in the device manager to install or anything. 2. its been very slow, i have formatted and defragged and it still runs slow. i tried playing games like diablo 2 and rise of nations which should run fine on there and they come out choppy. i would like to solve these problems, i was wondering if i didn't have my computer set up right, drivers. . ect. i have tried many drivers from hp and tech support and all over the web and nothing is happening. its kind of hard to install a driver when it acts like the sound card is not even there!
