Sound works... then gets quiet.
Heya. My computer is already host to any number of problems, but this is one that's been bugging me more than others.
Now, I've been using my computer as sort of a stereo system, since I lack any other means to project my audio and music otherwise. I've simply been turning the volume on my speakers up and listening to the music like that. However, at odd intervals, the sound suddenly gets quiet -and stays quiet - until I reboot. Not off- it just gets quiet - so quiet that I can only hear the sound / music if I'm sitting at the computer, which defeats the purpose of using it as a home stereo. That's about all - it doesn't happen unless I've turned the volume up somewhat high. As far as I can tell, I have some sort of "SoundMAX Digital Audio" sound card device. That's about all I know right now. |
