Sound Recording >>> Volume. Keeps resetting to Microphone.
I am trying to use Fraps, a game recorder, to record sound in-game. I go to the Sounds and Audio Devices tab and change the Sound Recording to Stereo Mix, and it remains there until I try to record in-game. After that, it for some reason resets back to the Microphone selection, which then records sound from my Microphone rather than the game, resulting in the actual game recording showing the game but the sound is me clicking/speaking, not game sounds.
Sorry if thats jumbled >.> |

Re: Sound Recording >>> Volume. Keeps resetting to Microphone.
I too have this problem with Source games such as Counter-Strike: Soruce.
If you are using a game that has a voice communication function, the game may keep switcing your sound input to the mic. The only thing you can do is run the game in a window, and switch to the recording mixer (ALT + TAB) once the level/map has loaded and switch the input back to Stereo Mix. Good luck! |
