speakers on windows vista "not plugged in" ...
i have windows vista on a dell desktop and use a bose sound system which worked fine until i unplugged it for about an hour. i plugged it back in but the playback device still says the speakers are unplugged. i know they are not. i think i had this problem when i first connected the speakers which didn't come with the dell desktop, but i can't remember how to fix it! there are no yellow flags, all drivers have been updated and it says it recognizes the audio device. i have checked and rechecked to make sure that the speakers are plugged in correctly and the speakers work on another desktop that runs xp. is there anybody who can help me? i really miss my music!!
