Surround sound headphones issues

Ok well i have the Trust silverline 751 surround sound headphones.

And yesturday, for the first time in like over 2 or 3 years...i start playing Soulstorm, then all of sudden, theres this bizzare vibrating coming from my headphones and im like "***?!!?" the subwoofer on them had suddenly kicked into action .

They have NEVER EVER done this before...so i decided to go round fiddling to see what i had done or changed and...nothing, at all. I reset back to default settings and nothing happened. So I either pulled the phone jack out and out back in or fiddled with some settings and it stopped doing it.

guh?!

I dont understand what the hell went on...i have the front jack in the jack and rear in the right jack and i put the center surround in the right place too. Now it cant be them because i didnt touch and of the jacks on the back of the comp...as i said it just kicked into life

So my question is...how the hell, and wat the hell, and how do i do it again :S

Thanks in advance.

Re: Surround sound headphones issues

Bump

Ok it happened again randomly when playing SS again...it has a mind of its own it seems.

Could it be possible that i've had a faulty one from day one? Hmmm, the thing is, when it does work is just a little bit too severe, the bass in on everything from explosions from which it should be, to voices and sound effects on buildings etc. It's like a constant reverberation, slight twitch of anything coming through that channel is either a large "thud" or just constant vibrating. It seems to me that it could be faulty, as from day 1 its never done this, it just sorta kinda began to happen :S.

But I do want it to work, so i can tweak it here and there to fix it up a bit.

Can anyone help? Or do i need to provide you with more info...?
