How to determine if your Audio Card MIC is busted?

My mic is not working in the middle of a conversation . So I bought a new headset thinking that my mic is dead.

When I plug the new mic. It is still the same, I checked every settings if its muted, but its not. Ive tried reinstalling the driver. I tried mic testing, still not working.

I'm thinking my sound card is busted. But how come, only the mic is not working?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Load a system restore point from before the problem started.

What sound card do you have?
