No sound coming from right speaker
OK, this is a peculiar problem. I have normal sound coming from the front audio jack, which plugs to the motherboard; but only left speaker sound from the ports on the back, soldered directly to the board. I added a SoundBlaster 16 soundcard to fix the problem, but that sound card has the same problem. I plugged the speakers into my iPod to make sure there wasn't a problem with the cable, and everything worked fine. The computer is a custom built one that I put together myself. Here are some specs:
Motherboard: ECS K7S5A Rev. 5.0 Soundcard: C-Media AC97 and SoundBlaster 16 (PCI) OS: Windows XP SP2 I checked the connectors from the front audio ports to the board, and they all seem fine. My only thought is that maybe there is a problem with the right return audio plug. I don't actually know what that does, but it would seem to me that it returns audio to the port on the back, since it stops rear audio output when headphones are plugged into the front. Anyway, any possible help is appreciated. Thanks |
