sound card sound blaster 5.1 problem
ok i just bought a sound blaster 5.1 and im trying to install it to my computer,when installing the os suddenly hang, i already follow some of the advice which i used safemode to install the driver, and i manage to install it, but when i restart n load the os in a normal way it hang...so i cant enter my normal mode unless i remove the driver which mean i need to log in to safemode again...so what is the problem???is it sound card problem? by the way i also used a new mobo to test but it seem happen that way so it is not mobo prob..
So is it possible directx prob??? im using directx 9.0c but the old version since i unable to install the new one... or is it OS it self which the cause of these thing?? |

Usually this happens when the card itself is not placed into the slot comfortably or an irq conflict. Try changing up your cards or even just your new sound card into a different slot seeing that all the gold connectors are fully slotted into the pci's grasp. Make sure your motherboard is seated totally flat and congruent to your cpu case otherwise your pci cards won't fit properly.
