Inspire T6100 no audio
I recently bought a Creative Inspire T6100 5,1 surround system. I have a Creative X-Fi soundcard, and Windows XP (service pack 2).
I cannot hear any sounds from my sound system. It worked fine just a few hours ago with 2.0 stereo set. When I turn on the power on the surround system I don't hear anything from any of the speakers or the subwoofer and I'm 100% sure I've plugged everything right. When I plug a pair of headphones (from my mp3 player) I can hear sound in one of the headphone speakers (the right) and I can hear when I test the 5.1 that the only speaker working is the Front Right one which is also the speaker where you have the power switch on. Additionally when I tested which of the Audio Inputs that worked only the Green did. The Black didn't give any sound, nor did the Orange. The conclussion is that power goes through the subwoofer to the Front Left speaker but it doesn't use bass or redirect any power to any other speakers or itself, instead it redirects the sound to the headphone jack. |
