I think I am having trouble with my sound card. I have a GE 2.1 speaker system and until a few days ago it worked perfectly. I had the speaker wires unplugged from the subwoofer box, because I had headphones plugged in and didnt want any sound other than the headphones. Then when I went to plug the speakers back in, they didnt work. I had also had my led monitor speakers plugged back in and they no longer worked, neither do the headphones. I also tried plugging in my headphones into the pc tower to no avail. I plugged my speakers into my mp3 and they worked, same with monitor amd headphones.
I do not know anything about the sound card, I just have read that this can be a cause for my problem. I don't know what kind I have or how to find out. I did read you had to configure the soundcard but could not find any info on it. And yes I have checked all the volume controls and mute check boxes. Any feed back would be appreciated.
