Sound comes in and out
I don't know if this is the right place to post this but it is sound related so here it goes. I just had to do a reinstall of Windows on a new hard drive and ever since I did that my sound has been messed up. Whether I am listening to sound on a CD,Internet, WMA, etc. it does it. The sound will play no problem but then it will just stop and maybe it will come back on. Sometimes it doesn't and when I get home later it will be on working. I tried testing to speakers just for the hell of it on my other computer and they worked fine so I know its not the speakers. I thought since I just did the reinstall of windows that drivers got messed up some how so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers 2 times and it didn't work. I also tonight noticed that when I was on youtube.com watching a movie, the movie suddenly came to a stop and so did the sound and then about 2 minutes later the sound came back on and so did the video. So whenever the sound stops so does the videos I watch. It is an onboard sound card I have. I am running Windows XP and in case it is important the mobo is Albatron px845PEV pro. I would appreciate any help this has been irritating me! Thanks.
