Sound Card Opinion
Hi
Im looking to buy a nice sound card for gaming This is my current Pc Spec; Manufacturer: Overclockers Ultima OC 8800GT Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 GO 2.40GHz Quad Core CPU Overclocked To Minimum 3.30GHz and Beyond Memory: Crucial 2GB Ballistix Tracer PC2-8500 CAS5 (2x1GB) Dual Channel Kit (Overclocked at 1000MHz+) Hard Drive: 500GB Samsung Spinpoint 16MB Cache SATA-2 Hard Drive Video Card: NVIDIA 8800 GT 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) DirectX 10 Graphics Card Whats your opinion on the best sound card for me? Nice machine :)
Have you taken a look at Asustek's new sound card line? They have a brand new card with much higher quality components than the creative line right now, and I think they're going to give them a big run for their money once they start to catch on. I've been thinking of getting one for myself, since I just bought a pre and power amp for my new speakers, and the onboard sound leaves me wondering if I'm not realizing the full potential of the new components. You can see their lineup here. I don't have any personal experience with them yet, but I'm hearing increasingly good things about them.
