Fruity Loops Sound problem

Hello.

I have been using Fruity Loops 5 for a couple of years and everything was working fine. I then upgraded to Windows XP and with that upgraded to fruity loops 7.

Now when i try to play certain loops or imported vocals on fruity loops 7, there is a screeching sound rather than playing the loop. This also happens if i stretch the BPM.

Also, i cannot chop an imported vocal or loop as it just seems to break up and not play.

I do not know whether this is the sound card or the actual software itself.

Pleassse Help!!!

Welcome to TSF
1. have you update your XP to Service pack 2
2. Try going in to your control panel to the sound card configuration (if you have one) or go into sound and multimedia and try some of the sounds there and see if they do the same thing.
