New Radeon 1050 - Onboard sound stops working
I have a Windows xp SP2, 3.0ghz Processor, 1gb RAM, Radeon 1050, 350w PSU and Onboard sound.
I'm having a bit of trouble with my sound after installing my new ATI radeon 1050. When i play music and watch movies etc it appears that the sound is playing but no sound comes out. Basically my sound has completely stopped working. As far as i can tell the gfx card has no sound functions and my onboard sound is still my deafault sound driver. Onboard sound is still enabled in my bios. I have tried reinstalling my sound drivers. I have tried 3 different speakers that work on other computers. The sound drivers are apparently working properly in my sound options. The only thing i can think of is that my PSU is only 350watts. But should this matter with onboard sound?? Oh and the gfx card is working perfectly This problem is driving me insane.. Any suggestions would be much appreciated thanks. :) |
