Soundcard,Vista or Singsnap

Here’s my problem I have new Dell PC with Vista, and the sound card is an XFi PCI sound card. I go on this Karaoke web site called Singsnap.com. They have a recorder and I sing on there. I hear the music while I’m recording, but when I go to review what I sang all I hear is myself not the music.sometimes I can hear the music, but it’s very faint This is suppose to go out on the internet and people comment on it. Does anybody know where the problem can be coming from?. Dell sure doesn’t know how to fix it.

Re: Soundcard,Vista or Singsnap

I had the same problem before at singsnap. it took me sometime before i discovered the problem. you need to make some adjustment on the audio properties. On your status bar look for that sound icon and click it. Click options and select Recording. Under Recording click the "What You Hear" or "Stereo" (this will enable you to record the music background and your voice. Make sure that on the PLAY option, the MIC is also clicked. Adjust the mic at the middle volume. This should solve your problem, I hope it will. Good luck!
