keeps breaking

The sound would go out and I would re-boot, then it would be on the control panel, then I had to download the sigma tel sound card from Dell. Now I can't figure out how to fix it.

SigmaTel Sound card

Did you mean SigmaTel Sound Card drivers?

Are you sure that is what you have in your Dell?
  • Control Panel
  • Sound and Audio Devices
  • In the Volume tab, is volume in taskbar checked?

Re: keeps breaking

Hi,
The volume page has the details "ghosted-out" and it says -NO AUDIO DEVICE, however I get some sounds, like the sound of the puter turning on and shutting down. I get a few pings, like when I hit on the sounds and audio devices icon on the control panel.
