E-MU 1212M help (possible PatchMix help [playback issues])

Ok, just to be clear, I'm using Vista 32 with an E-MU 1212M, Behringer Ultragain something or other (the ADAT), and Sonar 7 Producer edition. Heres the deal:

When recording, (just using the first channel on the ADAT, via XLR), no matter how I set the input channel in Sonar, (left channel, right channel, or stereo), It will only play back the recording through the left speaker of the stereo I have hooked up to my computer. If I adjust the panning in PatchMix, I can get it to come through both, but If I try panning it to the right in Sonar, it just cuts out the sound.

During play back, PatchMix seems to tell me it is playing it out of this channel (with the red around it), where when I just listen to songs, and stuff, it plays through the one all the way on the left. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, or not; just thought I would throw it out there.

Any help?
Thanks
