[SOLVED] no sound grrr

Hi Ive just recently got a PC from my mum but there is no sound, the speakers and the mic work fine (checked them with my old PC), Ive had a look at the device manger and I cat really see anything wrong there, Im more worried there is something physically wrong and if so can anyone tell me how to take the old sound card out of my old PC and put it into the new one??? thanx

oh and Ive check apparently I havent got an audio mixer so I cant check the volume control if that helps, my OS is windows xp

reinstall the sound software
to take the card out just take the screw out that secures it to the case and put it into the other computer install the screw and install the software

Hiya well I tried to find a dowload and Ive got Realtek AC'97 now and it has worked perfectly but thanx for the advice, and if anything happens again I know that I will come here to ask any questions I have thanx again
