No active mixer devices
My Windows XP Pentium 4 CPU has lost sound during sytem restore. There is no log on and log out sound any more. When I try to play music it writes the message no active mixer devices. My volume adjusting settings are all muted. I tried to use "service misc" in order to start Windows Audio but failed. It displayed "Could not start the Windows Audio service on Local Computer:Error 1058" I need help.
